About Isobella

Isobella Hubbard is a writer, director and actor from the Highlands, based in Glasgow. Her first short film, Beat It (2018) was selected for a number of UK festivals and nominated for best picture and actor at BIFA qualifying Women X festival. Her second film Dinner Date (2020), was selected for BFI Flare and her most recent short Just A Walk (2023) was nominated for a British Short Film Award, as well as glowing reviews in LA news and continues to reap success at US and UK film festivals.

 

Isobella has created spoken word pieces and comedy sketches for BBC Scotland which have gained over 500k views on social platforms and performed her own spoken word piece at the Arcola Theatre.

 

Isobella was recognised by Media Eye as a ‘rising star’ after her portrayal of Chelsey In Coronation Street.

 

Her other credits: No Offence (Ch4), Outlander (STARZ), Making It, The Redistributers, Farmland, Lost At Sea (Finsborough Theatre), Homestead (Tristian Bates Theatre)

Isobella also loves to hang with her friends and family whether that's hiking or in the pub. She is an avid reader and believes manifesting  and hard work is the key to everything. She also watches Erin Brockovitch at least once a month.
